Canary Code is based on a series of loosely drawn verticals we first explored in ink, inspired by early ticking stripes, but softened through irregular spacing and variation in line weight. The final repeat was developed in the studio to feel graphic but understated, with a warm, lived-in character that integrates naturally into the space.
This colourway pairs soft butter yellow with pale sky blue, a palette that brings a sense of light and energy without becoming overly bright. From a distance, the vertical repeat reads as clean and cheerful, up close, the subtle irregularities in line create rhythm and movement across the bed. The reverse is a matching solid yellow, designed to offer a tonal shift when turned back or layered.
